The Basics

Chair 17 Productions was founded in 2005 as an online creative design house offering Web administration and management, graphic design and freelance writing services.

The Founder's Background

Having graduated cum laude from the University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communication in 1997, Web design and administration was the furthest thing from her mind until she started as a Marketing Coordinator at the corporate headquarters of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Southern California (CB So Cal) in 1998. Whilst she honed her marketing, advertising and public relations skills, she was asked to assume the additional role of Web editor for CB So Cal's Internet. Her Web duties grew in depth and scope over the next couple of years, and in 2001 she resigned her marketing duties to become a part of the CB So Cal eStrategies team to become the administrator of CB So Cal's Intranet, CB Connect, as well as a contributing editor and administrator to CaliforniaMoves.com.

In 2002 / 2003, she launched All Things Annabeth, which is currently the Official Fan Site for actress Annabeth Gish. Today, she continues to provide a Web presence for selected clientele within the entertainment industry whilst also still putting her journalism degree to good use as a a staff writer for the
television blog, Pass The Remote.

The Inspiration

Having been asked - both officially and unofficially - to work on various design projects for friends and colleagues over the years, she has come to develop her own classic style that focuses on what she believes is the most fundamental aspect of any Web site or printed piece: it is a communication vehicle, both commerce and non-commerce alike.
